Budding Singer: Manjinder Taneja

The land of Fazilka is blessed with the bestowment of art, music & literature. In this tiny township, there are numerous artists, musicians and men of letters who had made their niche in their respective field. Here, we know you about a budding young Punjabi singer and lyricist Manjinder Taneja. His Punjabi songs echo in our mind and relaxed both our soul & heart.

His father Gyani Mohan Singh, Uncle Gyani Amar Singh also loved music and practiced hours on Harmonium regularly. According to Manjinder, he had learnt a lot from Master Krishan Shant, Dr. Vijay Parveen and Roshan Lal Sharma. Manjinder inherited the art of singing from his father and Uncle.

For those who have deep passion for art & music, academic qualification does not matter but Manjinder earned his post graduation in Music from Pracheen Kala Kendra, Chandigarh to hone his skill. He had worked with Kuldeep Manak, Chandi Ram Chandi, Lal Chand Yamla Jat, Narendra Beeba, Surinder Kaur, Balkar Sidhu, Nirmal Sidhu, Manpreet Akhtar, Ashok Masti, Harbhajan Maan etc. “Panjabiyan Daa Dhol” a cassette released by Punjab Audio Company had given him recognition. Apart from the above creation, Ishak De Naag, Mahak Malwe Di, Put Sardara De had also given him publicity and love from the people of city.
