In year 1998 Mr. Navdeep Asija started practice as highways engineer with Som Dutt Builders Limited on Amabal-Rajpura Highway Project and after 1 year shifted to Delhi on Delhi Noida Toll Bridge Project and joined Wilbur Smith Associates, New Delhi

In the year 2003, He appeared for Indian Institute of Technology Delhi entrance test and cleared. Joined M Tech degree programme for Geotechnical and Geoenvionmental engineering. During his masters he started his research work with TRIPP in the area of Road Safety. That was turning point of his life and shaped his future in the area of road safety.

In the year 2003 he met Shri Laxman Dost at Sarhad Kesri office, he was inspired by his work on "Dastan-e-Fazilka", he also decided to work in the same field and he posted complete work on Laxman Dost on LoveFazilka website. He started this in the year 2003. www.lovefazilka.esmartweb.com

In the year 2004, he visited Paris, France on official trip to see road safety scenario in developing countries.

Later in the same year he met Dr Bhupinder Singh, Retired Prof. IIT Roorkee. He also Wrote one book on Fazilka, "Fazilka the town of learned people". They both started working and founded Graduates Welfare Association Fazilka under the leadership of Dr Bhupinder Singh. Their aim was to promote the city at international level; they kept their aim as 3 E's.Education, Environment and Employment, because our area is suffering from that. They started with "Mehak Sarhad Dii 2006".

In the year 2006 in published his first article on Badha Lake. Mehak Sarhad Di promoted Fazilka at international level and Technical University of Vienna, Austria honored their work. After this there was no turn back. In the year 2007 they continue their love Fazilka mission and organised cycle rallies to promote cycling in the city with a aim to preserve heritage and culture. They involved youth from all walks of life and at present GWAF has more than 250 members. They successfully organised Fazilka Heritage Festival 2007. Same year on the occasion of Lal Chand Yamla Jat Yadgari Mela, He was awardedwith "FAZILKA GAURAV" by Punjabi Sabhyacharak Manch.
